Some call me Tim

Which is silly, because the only Tim I've ever known was a slight but intelligent and well meaning fellow over twenty yar ago in a strange city called Pee. Or Ria. I could never tell. People kept saying it was Pee or Ria. I don't understand people who could live somewhere and not know the name of it. I hope it was Ria. If I had to tell people I lived in Pee, I'd move.
Aside from that, now, I'm local, I watch anime (or Animé if you want to be precise), collect figurines, write science fiction, practice electric guitar and synthesizer, and I am the very model of a modern major otaku. The only difference is I have quite a bit more space than the average six-mat (which only leads, of course, to more junk), and I have my own air conditioner. I do have cats, though. With only two eyes each, as far as I have seen.

When you're in a town like this all covered with smoke, you forget that there's a world outside. Nothing amazing happens here. And you get used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary. Every day we spend here is like a whole lifetime of dying slowly. But now Haruko is here. That's how I know there really is a world outside.
