Hi, that's the first time I've gotten a welcome note on a forum before! Hello, all you Hudson valley fans out there! I'm Gomidog, and I found the forum when I met the moderator on the train going to the cherry blossom festival in Brooklyn. I'm a pan-geek (I like SciFi, anime, board games, video games, comics, and CS.) and I'm very happy whenever I meet other geeks in the area. As a side note, my job is doing modeling and animation for online games and I also do freelance Japanese translation (I went to high school in Japan), so if you need anything along those lines let me know!
I also help out with the Geeknights podcast that my pals make and I help moderate the forums there.

When you're in a town like this all covered with smoke, you forget that there's a world outside. Nothing amazing happens here. And you get used to that, used to a world where everything is ordinary. Every day we spend here is like a whole lifetime of dying slowly. But now Haruko is here. That's how I know there really is a world outside.

sorry I never got a chance to meet you on the train ride or at the festival itself, hear the encouter was quite funny.

As I said before, It is nice to see you on the forums. Make your self feel like at home and hope you enjoy the pleasantries of our little group.
